Rice University

Department of English

Undergraduate Student Prizes

The English Department is proud to give out a number of awards to students each year; please read the descriptions below to learn more about our different prizes. All department awards are given out in April, the R2 awards are announced at the R2 launch party in April, and the Inprint creative writing prize is awarded in January/February. Only currently enrolled Rice undergraduates are eligible for these awards and all award recipients will have to complete a W2 form before they can receive their award check.

All senior award recipients and their families are invited to the English Departments Honors and Awards Reception prior to Rice's Commencement ceremony in May. Please check with our staff for more information about this event.
