First available in 2017, this $500 prize is awarded for a paper of ten or more pages written for an English course by a current junior or senior English major. Chapters or selections from honors theses will be considered, as well. Applications are typically due in March and the prize announced in April.
Send your materials in pdf format to firstname.lastname@example.orgÂ with "(current year) Minter Outstanding Essay Submission" in the subject line of the email. All essay submissions should be anonymous, so student names should not appear anywhere in the essay. The body of the email should include your name, email address, and essay title (which should match the title of your pdf submission).
