R2: The Rice Review is the award-winning literary journal of Rice University. The student-staff publishes the best poetry, prose, and art produced by Rice undergraduate students, as well as interviews with renowned authors.

The journal is published annually in the spring with all previous issues available through R2's website and ongoing literary blog. Here, you will also find recommendations, criticisms, and musings about literature, art, and the artistic community at Rice.

R2 also serves as a crucial hub  for the literary and visual arts on campus. The staff hosts literary events, readings, and artistic collaborations, as well as off-campus outings to see visiting authors in Houston.

In 2015, The Rice Review won the Association of Writers & Writing Program's (AWP) National Program Directors' Prize for "Best Undergraduate Literary Magazine" in the country.
